On a Linux Host as well as VMWARE player / workstation / VBOX all work fine but you can also set up VM's via XEN or KVM as well so zillions of choices available.
MICROSOFT OFFICE PROFESSIONAL 2003 PRO
VMWare player or Oracle VBOX are free and usually easy to set a VM up in- if You've got W10 Pro then HYPER-V is also another possibility. My preferred solution to this would be just to run W7 in a Virtual Machine - then you can keep all your old programs running until the probable end of the lifetime of the Universe !!!! -That way you don't need to change anything and your old email and office stuff - Excel, Word. Possible Berton might also like to consider the idea of using a VM too. See also the excellent advice of Rohn007 in I need Office - What should I get - MSAForum If they were of concern then you ought to search for solutions separately. Outlook & Access files are more difficult - there are no directly-equivalent Apps or third-party applications. You can also read Word, Excel & PowerPoint files in many third-party applications such as LibreOffice. You might encounter formatting errors, for all I know, but you would be able to re-work the desired formatting in the Apps.
MICROSOFT OFFICE PROFESSIONAL 2003 WINDOWS 10
You can read-edit Word, Excel files in the versions of Office provided with Windows 10 as "Apps". Office 2007 had an add-on to reduce/avoid many formatting errors in opening Office 2003 files but I do not know if that is still required. You can read-edit them in later versions of Office as well. See WIN10 and Office 2003 Pro - TenForums and try searching for more - example search Office 2003 - TenForumsīUT, much more fundamentally, you do not need Office 2003 to read files created in Office 2003. Even if you were able to get a cast-iron guarantee, it would not remain valid beyond the next Windows 10 version.

So you cannot get a guarantee of anything. Some TenForums users have reported that Office 2003 works in Windows 10 but many have reported problems.
MICROSOFT OFFICE PROFESSIONAL 2003 WINDOWS 7
I'm sure I can't be the only person in the world with a computer that has many important Word 2003 documents on their Windows 7 and now needs to have their Office 2003 switched to Windows 10, in order to view the old docs on Windows 10. Some people say it will work, others say it won't work.

I have read conflicting statements on the internet about whether or not Office 2003 will work on Windows 10. My biggest fear is that when I switch to Windows 10, I will no longer have access of to all of my important documents that I have created with Word 2003.

So, basically that means I need to get rid of Windows 7 and install Windows 10 to my current computer by January of next year.
MICROSOFT OFFICE PROFESSIONAL 2003 SOFTWARE
Beginning JanuMicrosoft will no longer provide support for Windows 7, and that means no more software updates and no more security updates. The majority of the documents are very important to me. I have been using Office 2003 on it for many years, and therefore, I have MANY Word 2003 documents on my computer (that I have of course created over the years). If I control, alt delete and close it out it just comes back in a few minutes.I have Windows 7 on my computer. I cant make Office stop popping this up now. There are only 3 files on the whole disc that start with SKU* and SKU011.CAB isnt one of them. I then went into the CD and manually eye balled the contents looking for the file. I manually browsed the WHOLE cd and even did a search for SKU011.CAB on the CD looking for even hidden files and it found nothing. If installed from a network browse to blah blah blah blah you get the point.Īnyway I throw in my CD "CD1" and it already knew it had been installed from CD on drive H: so I click ok and it started to act like it was going to do something then stopped and asked for the disc again, wanting the same file. If you installed Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 from a CD, please insert the installation CD. Every once in a while I run a program known as Evidence Eliminator on my Windows XP system to just clean up free space and old files.Īnyway I ran it lastnight and when I rebooted I got a pop up from Office System 2003 saying:Ī required installation file SKU011.CAB could not be found
